Typo is the slang term for “typographical error.” Typos is what you say when you make a lot of typographical errors. “Typo” is not short for Typography.

Client: House of Saigon
House of Saigon is a stall in Ateneo de Manila’s JSEC area (which is basically a small outdoor cafeteria.)  It serves vietnamese food.  They asked for a logo which incorporated a straw hat, and a color palette of lime green and yellow - here’s what I came up with:  I was also asked to design the menus.  They’re basically huge tarps that are placed in front of the store:

Client: Gingerade
I think I’ve posted the redesign of the logo before.  Anyway, I’ve been asked to redesign the packaging and logo of Gingerade - It is an instant ginger tea mix (salabat) which has variations (coffee mix, etc.) The purpose of the redesign was to make it look more appropriate for the target market (which was, on the go office workers, specifically call center agents.) So, the product...

The Undeniable vs. The Unexplainable
A: Why do you believe in God?
B: I just do, I think.
A: But existence of a god can't be proved by science, yet you still believe?
B: Yes, I do.
A: I think that's just absurd, believing in something that can't be explained.
B: Well, you don't have to be able to fully explain or understand in something to be able to believe in it.
A: How so?
B: Do you know how an airplane works?
A: No.
B: Do you ride airplanes?
A: Yes.
B: Why would you ride an airplane if you can't explain how it works? The fact is, there is something undeniable - and that is that airplanes fly. You don't need to be able to explain why or how they fly. You just need to know that they fly. I believe in God because, yes, it might be unexplainable, but it is undeniable. It has changed my life. When the undeniable always beats the unexplainable.

Client: Chicken Charlie
Chicken Charlie is a restaurant that serves a unique kind of fried chicken - It’s really crunchy and it’s covered with a light soy garlic sauce.  I’ve been asked to create the logo and promotional collaterals for this new restaurant. The client wanted to have a simple logo (maybe 1 or 2 colors.)  After several studies the client finally decided to go with this: Along with...

Resetting the Body Clock
So every now and then my insomnia/bad sleeping habits really get bad.  What I do is go on an entire day without sleep, then sleep early on the next day. Today was that day. I was a zombie - oddly enough, I was more productive today than I am on days that I’m well rested (i.e. 8 hours of sleep.)  Odd. Gonna try to sleep now. Hope I don’t end up sleeping more than I should. :)
